Yomi and the Big Toy Mix-Up

A short story about solving conflict

One sunny afternoon, Yomi and her best friend Mia were playing in the backyard. They had all their favorite toys spread out, but soon, something unexpected happened. Both Yomi and Mia wanted to play with the same shiny pink dollhouse at the same time!

Yomi felt frustrated. "But it's my turn!" she said.

Mia frowned. "No, I want to play with it now!"

The two friends stood there, arms crossed, not sure what to do. Yomi thought for a moment. Then she smiled. "Why don't we take turns? I'll play with it for five minutes, then you can have a turn!"

Mia’s face lit up. "I like that idea!"

So, Yomi and Mia took turns playing with the dollhouse. They made up fun stories and even pretended the dolls were going on a magical adventure. Soon, they were giggling together, remembering that sharing made everything more fun!

From then on, Yomi and Mia always solved problems by talking and taking turns. They knew that being kind and sharing was the best way to stay friends.
